Gorjani – Letni pomladni obhod kraljice ali lelje
Hrvaška je poleg Kitajske, Japonske in Koreje država z največ zaščitenih kulturnih fenomenov v Evropi. Na UNESCOV seznam svetovne nematerialne kulturne dediščine je pred kratkim poleg šestih hrvaških kulturnih fenomenov uvrščen tudi letni pomladni obhod kraljice ali ljelje iz Gorjana, vzhodno slavonske vasi v bližini Đakova.

Običaj ljelja poteka na praznik Duhova, spremljajo pa ga pisane narodne noše z bogato okrašenimi visokimi kapami in sabljami v rokah. Prvi zapisi o običaju ljelje, ki je postal zaščitni znak Gorjana in Đakovštine, obstajajo že od leta 1898. Za običaj vemo, da je obstajal že prej a od tedanjih obhodih ni zapisov.

Po legendi so se Turki v času turških osvajanj prebili tudi do Gorjana, kjer so ugrabili vse moške iz vasi. Nato so se njihove žene oblekle v pisane obleke, na glave dale klobuke okrašene z umetnimi rožami ter v roke vzele srpe in kose in tako oblečene odšle pred turški tabor. Turki so pomislili, da so prišli duhovi in so prestrašeni zbežali. Tako so gorjanske žene rešile svoje moške, očete in brate. Od tedaj se na dan Duhov, v spomin na ta dogodek, ki je do današnjih dni ohranjen v svoji izvirni obliki ženske tako oblečejo. Edina sprememba je ta, da sedaj dekleta v roki namesto srpa in kosa držijo sablje.

Vas Gorjani se prvič v pisni obliki omenja leta 1244, leta 1537 pa jo osvajajo Turki in rušijo vse obstoječe objekte ter zgradijo nove. Danes, iz turškega obdobja, še stoji stolp turškega bega Jahije. Leta 1837 župnik Filipović ostanke stolpa prenovi v cerkev in dogradi stolp z zvonom. Danes je to cerkev Sveta tri kralja.

Za obiskovalce, ki se bodo odločili za spoznavanje bogate kulture in lepot narodnih noš, domačini ponujajo tudi enodnevni lov na fazane in vožnjo s konjsko vprego, vse pa dopolnjeno z bogato ponudbo slavonske kuhinje.
