Motovun Film Festival

Motovun Film Festival

Taking place from 24-28 July, the 21st Motovun Film Festival offers 65 screenings and more than 100 films altogether. Once again, the MFF has the most intriguing independent films from around the world and varied side programs.

Most of the films reflect the situation and trends in the world: a petty criminal from Sweden, Danish “gold digger”, British journalist and an ISIL fighter, Russian rockers and a Columbian hit man – they all belong to the whole panoply of characters you will meet on Motovun’s screens.

Some extraordinary guests will be joining us this year: Ruben Östlund, one of the most acclaimed European filmmakers today, is coming from Sweden. Our guests of honor, Mustafa Nadarević and Rade Šerbedžija are this year’s laureates of our 50 Years Award.

This year’s Partner City is Berlin. We will host many exceptional filmmakers and artists and three excellent DJs from Berlin. In addition to two dozen films, the city will be represented by the Walls & Bridges exhibition, presenting 13 artists from Croatia and the neighboring countries who live and work in Berlin.
