Dubrovnik: “Destinazione chic”
La rivista britannica di viaggi & lifestyle “Conde Nast Traveller” pubblica su cinque pagine un reportage su Dubrovnik intitolato “Il tesoro croato: Visitate Dubrovnik, la splendida città sul mare”, e conclude “Dubrovnik è di nuovo la destinazione chic” consigliando ai lettori di visitare e di esplorare questa città e la Croazia in generale.

Il giornalista britannico Jonathan Bastable scrive nel reportage che poche città nel mondo lasciano una così forte impressione a primo impatto, e aggiunge che appena uno vede Dubrovnik subito ha voglia di avvicinarsi e di entrarvi. Usando gli attributi shakespeariani per avvicinare le bellezze di Dubrovnik, comparandola con “la sinfonia in pietra” aggiunge che la città è diventata la calamita per i VIP riferendo che tanti personaggi di fama mondiale vi hanno soggiornato e cercato di comprarvi casa (come Oprah Winfrey, Kevina Spaceya, Beyonce...).

Nel suo reportage descrive in dettaglio come ha vissuto il centro storico raguseo e i suoi abitanti, paragonando la loro vita con quella dell'Antica Roma. Per lo Stradun (via principale) dice che è “semplicemente incantevole”, mentre le possenti mura sono paragonate alla Muraglia cinese.

Nomina, anche, la graziosa Cavtat, le sue impressioni del Festival “Julian Rachlin & Friends”, il suo primo incontro con il canto a cappella consigliando, inoltre, ai lettori di visitare Dubrovnik a settembre e di assaggiare i vini croati che meritano la particolare attenzione. Tra gli alberghi cita Excelsior, Bellevue e Villa Agava, mentre come ristoranti consiglia Arsenal, Lokanda Peskarija, Poklisar, Nautika, Gradska kavana e altri.
