Zagreb – La capitale de la cravate
La cavalerie légère croate qui faisait partie de l'armée royale française au cours de la guerre de Trente Ans au 17ème siècle (1618-48) était connue par sa bravoure exceptionnelle et pour ses compétences militaires, mais aussi pour un détail vestimentaire – un foulard pittoresque noué autour du cou. Le foulard noué par un noeud est nommé d'après le nom ethnique des Croates (ancien allemand Krabatten ou ancien français Cravattes) – cravate. Dans les troupes de l'armée royale française a été créée en 1664 le régiment croate Royal Cravattes. Près de quatre siècles plus tard, dans le vieux quartier de Zagreb, les touristes peuvent assister en direct à la relève de la garde du régiment Kravat, inspiré du célèbre régiment historique croate.Toute relève de la garde commence avec une cérémonie attractive de préparation de la garde et l'inspection des armes. Dans la cérémonie participe un groupe de 12 soldats qui représentent les soldats croates d'il y a quatre cents ans qui portaient des foulards, nommés plus tard les cravates. La garde se situe sur les trois lieux touristiques – sur la place Saint Marc, la place de ban Josip Jelačić et près de la statue de Notre-Dame à Kaptol. Ce projet vise à promouvoir Zagreb comme la capitale de la cravate, avec le désir que cette valeur culturelle et historique extraordinaire devienne une attraction pour tous les visiteurs de la capitale croate, le pays de la cravate.
