Klanjec – « Remerciement de l'automne »
« Remerciement de l'automne » est un événement traditionnel de Klanjec qui, avec des divers contenus culturels et touristiques, présente une partie du patrimoine de la région de Hrvatsko zagorje, en mettant l'accent sur les métiers, costumes, musiques, coutumes et spécialités culinaires des siècles passés.

L'événement qui dure trois jours (8-10 octobre), offre un certain nombre d'expositions, des concerts, des spectacles de chevaliers qui renouent la tradition médiévale, des présentations de vieux métiers et des compétences, la vente des produits traditionnels et une riche offre gastronomique.

Klanjec se situe dans la partie occidentale de Hrvatsko zagorje, sur une colline au long de la vallée de la rivière Sutla qui autrefois était traversée par une voie romaine. On croit que Klanjec fit son apparition comme un village au dessous du fort Cesargrad.

Les sources témoignent de son existence pour la première fois en 1399 et son nom provient de sa localisation, à l'entrée de la gorge Zelenjak

Le monastère franciscain avec une église baroque du 17ème siècle se trouve au coeur de la vieille ville : à l’intérieur dans la crypte du monastère les précieux sarcophages d'étain de la famille Erdödy.
