Emerald pearl of the sunny Adriatic

Many isles of the Kvarner Bay surround one of the largest and sunniest Croatian islands, Rab. This emerald island is the home of various species of flora and fauna, which find the Mediterranean climate suitable. The vicinity of land and major cities in the Littoral and Northern Dalmatia make Rab one of the best-connected Croatian islands, visited every year by thousands of tourists, looking for rest, entertainment and culinary specialties.

All adventurers who want to experience excellent fun can find countless activities on Rab, which will take them to a magnificent journey and reveal the secrets of the island. Discover the depths of the Adriatic on the underwater adventure or soar into the sky and take a look at Rab from a completely new point of view by parasailing.

You can find accommodation in a dozen modernly furnished hotels, which offer the opportunity of complete relaxation. With a superb offer of wellness centres and excellent gastronomic offer, you can enjoy miles of Rab’s wonderful beaches where you will want to return year after year. Visit many traditional restaurants which offer simple and delicious homemade food, such as Rab lentils, grilled fish and the must-try fritters. Delicious food is accompanied by excellent wines, and on Rab you can try numerous sorts of Plavac Mali, Cabernet and Merlot, produced by local winemakers.

Many events on Rab will enable you to learn about the culture of the local population and their way of life. If you visit the Festival of Original Rab Products, Souvenirs and Art, you can find out what the old people of Rab did, and at the Festival of Science you can have fun with experiments. If you like art, you can fill your days with musical, artistic, literary and film events, where you can learn about local and foreign artworks.
