National Geographic Traveller dedicated to Croatia

National Geographic Traveller dedicated to Croatia
The famous National Geographic Traveler will fully dedicate its 317 page issue for March 2011to Croatia. The popular magazine will be abundant with fantastic photographs and accompanying texts by Rudolf Abraham, dedicated to Croatian natural beauties, cultural heritage and other tourist attractions of our beautiful country.

Largely responsible for this great promotion of Croatia in one of the most respected travel magazines is the journalist and editor of the National Geographic Traveller, Caroline Hickey, for whom the Croatian National Tourist Board organized a study tour of Croatia in May 2010.

The National Geographic Traveler in its Netherlands and Belgium issues recently also published a photo report of Zadar. The photographer Christophe Vander Eecken entitled his report ‘Zalig Zadar’ (Blessed Zadar). The photos were made during his stay in Zadar in June 2010 and out of many famous motifs in Zadar he chose the waterfront motif, the People's Square, the Forum, Salutation to the Sun, Kalelarga from the bell tower of St. Stošija, Five Wells Square, and other sights.

Along with these images there is general information about the city of Zadar, and a variety of useful information in the article.

Zadar is a city of very long, three thousand year old history and extremely valuable cultural heritage. It is located in the heart of the Adriatic and represents an urban center of northern Dalmatia, as well as an administrative, economic, cultural and political center of the region.
