The British Telegraph Publishes a Tour Guide of Zagreb
The British Telegraph has recently published a tour guide of Zagreb for travellers from Great Britain, with useful information, such as taxi prices, the best hotels and restaurants, museums and galleries. It also lists the websites of the most beautiful coastal towns, islands and places of interest in Croatian inland.

Through a four page guide the guests of the Croatian capital are taken from Pleso airport to the centre of the city - Ban Josip Jelačić square. Located right behind the square is Dolac, informs the guide, ``the best market place in the city - where kumice (peasant, farm women who sell their products at the market) will try to persuade you to buy their huge jar of home made soured cream.``

The stroll through the Upper Town continues with ``cheap and tasty`` dining at local restaurants. The lovers of music and free concerts are recommended to walk to the pavilion in Zrinjevac. In the end, the author of the guide for Brits in Zagreb, points out that one should not be confused by the street names which are marked differently on the map to what people call them in everyday speech–the street of Pavle Radić, as stated on the map, will actually be called ‘Radićeva’ street.

The guide, published in time for the beginning of the tourist pre-season, also states useful internet websites for all the tourist regions of Croatia.
