Die Herbstausgabe des Lifestyle-Magazins «Good Life Connoisseur» aus Vancouver widmete die Titel- und noch 12 mit Photomaterial reich bestückte Seiten dem Reisebericht des Autorenpaars Connie Ekelund und Terry Termaine aus Kroatien. Die Journalistin und der Photoreporter kamen im Mai zu einer Studienreise nach Kroatien, wo sie die Besonderheiten und touristische Attraktionen von Zagreb, der Region Hrvatsko zagorje, der Plitvicer Seen, Split, Trogir, Korčula, Dubrovnik, Ston und Cavtat kennengelernt haben.

Obwohl die Sehenswürdigkeiten des kroatischen Kulturerbes den grössten Teil ihres Aufenthaltes beansprucht haben, fanden die Journalisten doch die Zeit, sich auch mit dem Gastroangebot und den Besonderheiten jedes besuchten Reiseziels bekanntzumachen. Zagreber «Geheimnisse des Grič», Museum der zerbrochenen Beziehungen, Neandertalermuseum in Krapina, Schloss Trakošćan, Plitvicer Wasserfälle, Diokletian-Palast in Split, St. Laurentius Kirche in Trogir, Marco-Polo-Haus in Korčula, Dubrovnik, jahrhundertealte und 5 km lange Stoner Mauern, Meerspezialitäten und Spitzenweine in Mali Ston, all das sind nur einige der Attraktionen, über die die beiden Autoren lebhaft berichten und mit ausgiebigem Fotomaterial dokumentieren.

Im Text der Reportage betonten die Autoren, dass Kroatien für sie eine völlige Überraschung darstellte.

«Dieses pittoreske kleine europäische Land hat eine beeindruckende Geschichte, die noch aus griechischen und römischen Zeiten stammt“, stelle sie fest. In allen besuchten Reisezielen beschrieben sie das kulturelle, gastronomische und historische Angebot, das von hervorragenden Fotos illustriert wurde.
