«The Wine Gang» stellt in London  45 kroatische Weine vor
Britische Weinkritiker, die unter dem Namen «The Wine Gang» bekannt sind, besuchten vor kurzem Kroatien, wo sie 280 Weinsorten von 98 Weinproduzenten aus allen Teilen Kroatiens verkosteten. Sie wählten die 45 besten Weine aus, die sie den Medien, Gastronomen und Händlern in London vorstellen werden.

Die Gruppe, die sich aus fünf renommierten britischen Weinkritikern zusammensetzt, verlieh den Titel des besten Weinkellers dem Weinproduzenten Kozlović. Der Wein Malvazija Santa Lucia ’08 ist mit sogar 95 Punkten der am höchsten prämierte kroatische Weisswein jemals. Die britischen Weinkenner begeisterten besonders die kroatischen Weissweine, und unter den Rotweinen hoben sie die Sorte Plavac Mali hervor.

Zu den Mitgliedern der «Wine Gang» gehört Joanna Simon, Verfasserin des «Grossen Weinbuches», langjährige Kolumnistin der Zeitung The Sunday Times und derzeitige Herausgeberin des Magazins House and Garden sowie Vorsitzende eines der angesehensten Weinwettbewerben weltweit: International Wine Challenge (IWC) London. Da sind noch Anthony Rose, Kolumnist und Kritiker der Zeitung Independent und Weinmagazins Decanter sowie Juryvorsitzender beim Decanter World Wine Awards sowie Tom Cannavan, Gründer und Herausgeber des Internet-Portals Wine-Pages und Mitarbeiter der Weinmagazine Decanter, The World of Fine Wine und The Wine Report.

Zur "Wine Gang" gehören noch David Williams, Korrespondent der Zeitung Observer und stellvertretender Chefredakteur des Magazins The World of Fine Wine sowie Jane Parkinson, erfahrenes Mitglied angesehener Preis-Jurys und Journalistin, die für ihre Texte mit der prestigeträchtigen Trophäe Louis Roederer ausgezeichnet wurde.
