Rab –  Tourismus-Champion  Kroatiens 2011
Die Stadt Rab auf der gleichnamigen Insel in der Kvarner-Bucht ist diesjährige Gewinnerin des Preises Tourismusblume – Qualität für Kroatien, der prestigeträchtigsten kroatischen Tourismus-Auszeichnung, die Rab zum nationalen Tourismusmeister 2011 gemacht hat. Preise für beste Einrichtung und Aussehen touristischer Städte, Gemeinden und Ortschaften im Küstengebiet Kroatiens bekamen, je nach Kategorie dh. Einwohnerzahl, Opatija, Krk, Nin und Mlini, während im kontinentalen Teil Kroatiens in diesem Jahr Velika Gorica, Đakovo, Našice und Grožnjan ausgezeichnet wurden.

Bei der Hotelbewertung trugen den Titel des jeweils besten in seiner Kategorie das Vestibul Palace aus Split (bestes kleines Hotel an der Küste), Hotel Frankopan aus Ogulin (bestes kleines Hotel im Landinneren), das Dubrovniker Excelsior und Zagreber The Regent Esplanade, Grand Hotel 4 cvijeta aus Opatija sowie Hotel Valamar Koralj Romantic auf der Insel Krk davon, während zum besten Yachthafen auch in diesem Jahr die Marina Frapa in Rogoznica erkoren wurde.

Unter den Campingplätzen wurde das Camping Palme in Kučište auf Pelješac als bester kleiner Campingplatz ausgezeichnet, in der Kategorie der mittelgrossen Campingplätze gewann die Oase des Friedens (Oaza mira) in der Ortschaft Drage bei Pakoštane, während zum besten grossen Campingplatz Straško in Novalja auf der Insel Pag erklärt wurde.

In der Kategorie der naturistischen Campingplätze trug das Valalta in Rovinj den Sieg davon, während als bester im Binnenland Kroatiens der Campinplatz Slapić in Duga Resa bei Karlovac prämiert wurde.
Besondere Auszeichnunengen für kontinuierliche Qualität bekamen die Campingplätze Zaton bei Zadar, Plitin auf der Insel Krk und Jasenovo in Žaborići bei Šibenik.
