Travel, das Reise-Feuilleton der Sunday Times, veröffentlichte vor kurzem eine grosse Reportage über fünfzig preiswerte Destinationen für diesen Sommer. Als Leitfoto wurde eine Grossaufnahme der Stadt Hvar benutzt, die auch als eine der Top-Destinationen für angenehmen, entspannten und nicht zu teuren Urlaub gepriesen wurde. Die britische Zeitung Sunday Times lobt Kroatien, speziell die Insel, unter denen Hvar besonders hervorgehoben wird. Im Text werden Privatunterkünfte empfohlen und angemerkt, dass Kroatien durch Billigflüge mit London verbunden ist. Die Preise in den Lebensmittelgeschäften sind wesentlich günstiger als auf der Britischen Insel, und das Nachtleben ist aufregend und beachtenswert, schreiben die britischen Journalisten. Sie empfehlen zahlreiche Bootsausflüge, vor allem zu der nahegelegenen Inselgruppe Pakleni otoci, deren Strände sie ausser Fassung brachten.

Die Journalisten der Sunday Times waren von der ganzen Isel Hvar begeistert und empfehlen sie deshalb zusammen mit Katalonien, Porto und Athen als günstige Sommerdestination. empfohlen.
