Novi Vinodolski –  Otoček San Marino obogatil svojo ponudbo
Znana kvarnerska turistična destinacija Novi Vinodolski bo letošnjo sezono goste dočakala z novo atraktivno turistično ponudbo. V planu je ureditev otočka San Marino, ki je od mestne plaže Novega Vinodolskega oddaljen le 200 metrov. Gre za otoček, ki je zaradi svojega atraktivnega izgleda zelo pogost motiv propagandnih turističnih materialov. Otoku je do sedaj primanjkovalo vsebin, zato je v glavnem služil kot motiv fotografom ter za sončenje kopalcem. S projektom pod imenom «Osam vjetrova otočića Svetog Marina» je predvidena ureditev obstoječe male gotske cerkve posvečene Sv. Marinu po katerem je otok dobil ime in ribiških kolib, ki so trenutno v slabem stanju. Predvidena je tudi ureditev dveh privezov za manjše barke, dostopnih poti in pešpoti, osmih klopi v smereh osmih vetrov in prostora za prireditve.

Novi Vinodolski se je razvil iz stare Frankopanske utrdbe Novigrad. Zahvaljujoč zimzeleni vegetaciji in blagi klimi mediteranskega podnebja, čistemu morju in zraku, leta 1878 postane turistični pionir primorskega kraja.

Fizionomijo mesta karakterizira primorska arhitektura belih pročelij in rdečih streh, ki se vzdigujejo v starem mestnem jedru od nivoja morja pa vse do cerkve in stolpa na bregu. Dušo mesta predstavljajo ostanki kulturnega nasledstva, zidovi rimske utrdbe Lopsica, ostanki samostana fratra Pavlina, Frankopanska utrdba s stolpom, Stolna cerkev, cerkev sv. Trojice in poprej omenjena cerkev sv. Marina na istoimenskem otočku, Zavijačni muzej in galerija, staro mestno jedro, kot tudi avtentična folklora tega mesta.
