The Japanese airline company Japan Airlines (JAL) has recently linked Zagreb with a few Japanese cities. These are charter flights on which Japanese tourists from Tokio, Osaka, Nagoye, Hiroshima and Sapporoa will come to the Croatian Metropolis. It is a collaboration with the agency Japan Travel Bureau, with which JAL introduces charter lines to Europe. The Japanese carrier will from August to September organize three round-trip flights between Narita and Zagreb.

Apart from Croatia, JAL opened direct charter lines to four central European countries - Hungary, the Czech Republic, Switzerland and Italy.
