On Bundek in Novi Zagreb, near the river Sava, in late May (May 26th to 31st) the traditional international garden exhibition Floraart, a Flower Fair which spreads countless combinations of colors and aromas of diverse and interestingly decorated flowers will be held.

This event draws its roots back to the distant 1891. and 1906. because those were the years of the first flower shows in Zagreb, recorded on old postcards. But these shows also relied on even further times, on the tradition of Zagreb's medieval gardens, a lovely oasis of beauty from which the landscapes of the city were formed, the culture whose historical climax is the Maksimir park and the Lenuci horseshoe.

Floraart is the largest horticultural event that brings together a number of exhibitors from home and abroad and hundreds of thousands of visitors. The exhibition is associated with numerous events, from the design of indoor and outdoor space, the choice of most imaginative creations and flower arrangements to the most beautiful flower details and Croatian Florist Cup.

The Floraart fair is not only characterized by horticulture, but also as a cultural event through which the best possible way of presenting a long tradition of urban landscaping gardens, parks and green areas and a systematic concern about maintaining the culture of the city landscape is made.

Visitors of Floraart can look around for ornamental plants, cut flowers, gardening and children's playground equipment, various floristic accessories and tools, the means of feeding and crop protecting, seeds, artificial flowers, decorative ceramics, etc.
