"Princess of the Adriatic" – a chain of nautical centers
The project "Princess of the Adriatic", worth 180 million euros, was presented recently in Dubrovnik, and has anticipated the construction of seven nautical centers on the Adriatic islands in the next seven years.

Investors are interested in the construction of maritime centers in Port Šipanska, in Mljet's Polače within the National park, in the harbor Jurjeva or Kremena on Lastovo, at the shipyard Inkobrod, the Island Badija in Korčula, Olib, Vrgadi and Kaprij. As the carrier of the initial phase of the project a company named "Princess of the Adriatic" was formed for this purpose. The nautical centers would encorporate marinas of lower capacity, up to to 200 berths, and numerous other facilities.

A cooperation with the airports of Zadar, Split and Dubrovnik is planned, to better the air connection by the usage of hidroplanes. Holders of the project say it is not a classical type of marine, but a nautical center with a developing character, whose task is not to serve as a "shopping center" to guests and sailors, but with various offers keep the guests at their destination for as long as possible.
