Theatres from all across the world have been participating for years at the international festival of new theatre, Zagreb`s popular Eurokaz. This festival, which is not limited by genre, enables the guests of Zagreb an insight into recent movements in contemporary theatre art. The rich production, quality performances and international collaboration are the key factors due to which this festival has been recognized in the world.

The first Eurokaz was held in 1987, as part of the cultural program of University Games after which it became a standard annual manifestation. The festival has gathered numerous artists and theatres from all around the world and is considered the most significant theatre event in this part of Europe. Most of the plays are usually sold out. Represented on Eurokaz are theatre, dance, performance and other similar art forms, and the program is often followed by discussions, conferences, film and video projections, workshops, concerts and exhibitions.

This year Eurokaz will be held from 15- 25 June.
