An article was recently published about ten ideal destinations for solo travellers, among which was the island of Vis, on the website of the British Guardian. The Croatian island found itself side by side to France, Greece, Scotland and Sardinia. The author of the article wrote that Vis is a far off island, ideal for fishermen, runaways, poetic souls and solo travellers, in search of a peaceful sanctuary. `When I visited Vis last September, I cycled across the island and enjoyed the view of vineyards, palm trees, pine woods and olive groves…. The local food, seafood delicacies and wine, everything was affordable and delicious. There, you can enjoy the sun and the sea and if you avoid the hustle of July and August, you can rent a room in one of the old stone houses. For nightlife, you have the town of Vis, where yachts and boats can be seen on berth, while the locals are extremely friendly`, wrote the author of the article.
The island of Vis is not a place for trendy gatherings and nightlife events until the early hours of the morning. It is a place for a relaxing holiday in the sun, a tour of the island, islets or cliffs scattered on the archipelago.
