Soon to begin in the hinterland of Zadar is the construction of a 100 million euro worth project called Posedarje Rivijera. Plans are being drawn for the construction of hotels and villas with at least four stars on 45 acres of land, with an overall capacity of 1500 beds, a marina with 200 berths and a string of additional tourism and hospitality facilities.

Posedarje is located in central Adriatic, on the Novigrad sea at the foot of the Velebit Mountain. It is located 25 m from Zadar. The first written document which mentions it dates back to 1219. Along with tourism, agricultural production is also developed, so this area is recognizable by fresh and healthy food, in particular the Posedarje prociutto – pig`s thigh which is traditionally processed (salted, pressed, smoked and dried) and is served as a starter.
