Following the end of the summer season, the largest hotel chain on Kvarner – ‘Liburnia Riviera Hotels’ (LRH) from Opatija, has began investing on a larger scale. First to be restored is the façade of Opatija`s oldest hotel Kvarner from 1884, which will be followed by the reconstruction of its famous terrace. Works should be completed by the spring of next year. Following that will be the interior restoration of the Crystal Hall of Kvarner Hotel which will be equipped for holding top quality seminars, congresses and other events. These works should also be completed by the spring of next year.

The envisaged investments should this year include other hotels which are part of LRH as well: Ambassador Hotel, Ambassador Villa, Opatija`s Kristal Hotel, Bristol Hotel in Lovran and Marina Hotel in Mošćenička Draga. There is also the possibility of the first phase of investments into the camp Medveja, where 20 new mobile houses should be set up.

Next year LRH plans to invest around five million euros in the reconstruction of hotel facilities, additions to hotel contents, beach and façade restoration, additions to equipment and maintenance. The mentioned investments are part of total investments of more than 65 million euros which LRH plans to invest between 2011 and 2016.
