Biokovo – The Dalmatian hinterland calls for tourists
In the valley Biokovo, two kilometres from the tunnel Bast-Zagvozd, which should be opened for traffic next year, the construction of an eco-ethno tourist resort with bungalows and a 40 bed motel is being planned. Up until now, a stone house with four apartments has been built as well as a stone tavern, a restaurant, a barbecue and a clay oven house, while everything is ready for the make-over of the two mock grass tennis courts. A large swimming pool and bowling alley are also planned and guests are already offered the possibility of horseback riding. The resort is located 20 minutes from the sea, near the village Rastovac.

Biokovo is a mountain which dives out from the sea and offers unforgettable views of the Makarska Riviera and the back of the mountain from it tops. Apart from its position, Biokovo is unique for its geomorphological and biological diversity, because of which it was proclaimed a nature park in 1981.
