«Kraš», the leading candy and sweet producing company in the region will soon open an eco-park in Bratina near Pisarovina, which will spread over four and a half million square meters and into which three and a half million euros was invested. The park features wooden houses with apartments and about a hundred beds. Each house is named after one of Kraš brands. Next to one of the two artificial lakes and just under the wooden church that was raised on an artificial hill, there is a restaurant which offers indigenous domestic cuisine.
All the facilities are built from wood and stone and the whole estate holds an ecological certificate. Sports contents will feature a bowling alley, a pool and two open-air sports grounds. A lot of the surfaces are planted with various agricultural cultures and the park will also feature a small zoo with goats, deer, leopards, ducks and other animals. The long term goal of the investor is for the park to become a large entertainment centre. In the second phase there are plans for the construction of a sports camp with an indoor Olympic pool and a few outdoor pools, a handball court, five football courts, a riding area, carting and a cycling paths.
The second phase of the eco-park development should begin within a year and it should then become available to sports clubs, for training and preparation.
The park is located near Pisarovina, which is 25km from Zagreb. This is an area of wide river valleys and hilly parts full of forests and meadows. It is an ideal place for rest, sports activities or relaxing family time.
