Grabovac, a little village in Central Dalmatia offers tourists a hunting museum and a zoo. The idea to enrich the tourist offer in this unusual way was thought of by Ante Dundić who in his hunting museum holds more than 650 exhibits. As part of the family estate he also opened a zoo with more than 260 animals, from several species of horses, deer, fallow deer, mouflon, chamois, Vietnamese pigs, wild boars and bears to various species of poultry and birds. Entrance to the museum is free. On the farm, visitors can see and try out different types of antique tools, carts and chariots, with horse riding and carriage rides also in the offer. The news of this unique museum and zoo in Grabovac reached the pages of 24 foreign magazines.
The village of Grabovac is located in the Borough of Šestanovac. It is an area with a number of excursion paths, ideal for recreational tourism, leading to a variety of attractive sites which provide a view of the beautiful and idyllic Dalmatian- Mediterranean hinterland. Nature Park Biokovo, with its numerous endemic species of Mediterranean flora, stands out with its natural beauty. The canyon of the largest Dalmatian river Cetina stretches to the south. The cliffs that rise above the river are suitable for free climbing, and there are locations for bungee jumping and paragliding. Situated along the canyon are old mills where the local population used to grind their grain decades ago. They fit perfectly into the landscape, creating a unique atmosphere.
