A new portal for the congress industry has recently been introduced in Zagreb, in the organisation of the Centre for Business Tourism. It is a web portal called ‘PoslovniTurizam’ (BusinessTourism) which in one place shows offers of Croatian congress and business tourism with a detailed overview of the offer of congress capacities, specialised agencies and other connected service industries.

The idea is that the portal becomes an everyday starting point for congress organizers where they will be able to find, apart from information about capacities and services, all the latest news connected to business tourism in Croatia as well as basic information about destinations in Croatia. The new portal should simplify offer searches and additionally, promote the Croatian congress offer on the world market.

According to the ICCA (International Congress and Convention Association) Croatia is currently in 44th place out of around one hundred monitored congress countries, and Zagreb is in 171st place on the scale of around three hundred congress cities. Information on the portal will be available in English from the beginning of next year and completely adjusted to internet searches on foreign markets.
