Every Saturday until the end of September the streets of Zagreb, the Croatian capital will take visitors back in time. This is an attractive project called the Zagreb Time Machine, which is the common name for a series of events that the Zagreb Tourist Board organizes in the streets, squares and parks of the city. Zrinjevac will also traditionally hold the popular Promenade Concerts, which will entertain passers by with classical, jazz and pop music and the atmosphere will be complemented by various costumed characters from the past.

Tourists will be able to see the old Zagreb coach and kids will be entertained in many workshops and playgroups.

In the Upper Town within the program Upper town musical vistas, the memories of the old custom of singing chansons under a balcony will be renewed.

At the heart of the city between Ban Jelačicć Square and Tkalčićeva street on the program will be the folk scene, and the tourists will, with the appearance of numerous cultural and artistic groups from Zagreb and its surroundings, enjoy the homemade cakes and apples.

All these locations will have attractive costumed characters from Zagreb’s and Croatia’s history, among which will be the examples of knights, witches, old postmen, beautiful maidens and Zagreb ladies. Walking through the streets they will entertain passers-by and bring the past of the city at the foot of Medvednica closer to them.
