For fourteen years already a group of enthusiasts bring to the streets of Zagreb within the “Cest is d’Best” festival some novel ways of entertainment in the streets. They bring ardour, energy, culture and laughter for all the people in a good mood.

This is a festival which turns the streets of the Zagreb centre for about ten days to a bright world of cirkus and street theatre. The town is never more colourful and there is never a brighter spirit spreading about then when there are clowns and entertainers walking about, many of them from the most remote parts of the world.

These joyful happenings will be on from 3 to 13 June this year. In this period, in the heart of the city heartbeats of a festival filled with performance, music, drama, events for children, painting, sports and other events, by means of which hundreds of performers from all parts of the world on many stages will bring smiles to faces of curious passers-by, fans, and guest of the town.

The “Cest is d’Best” festival is an international, multi-media street festival which, nurturing a Zagreb identity, makes city squares and streets alive, bringing them back charm and optimism. It erases the limits between established forms of culture and alternative, bringing all the generations of citizens closer through various tastes in culture, because literally everyone may participate in the programme. It is estimated that the street entertainers performances are accompanied by laughter, applause and interaction by about half a million of citizens and guests of Zagreb for free, their everyday lives being cheered up by performers.
