1. Dobra
„The most exploited“ Croatian river for tourist purposes. The legendary Buk with „wild“ waters of the 5th degree, was an irresistible destination for all the rafters until it has been flooded for construction of the new hydro-electric power plant. The river Dobra canyon is characteristic for its thick forest from both sides of the river bank, and the most interesting part is upstream of the power plant „Gojak“ dam. Dobra is ideal both for rafting and kayak and a bit „too wild“ for canoe. An iconic gathering point of the wild waters fans is the tavern „Zeleni kut“ (the green corner) on the river Mrežnica.

2. Mrežnica
Lying very near to Dobra, but completely different. Excellent for rafting and kayak and good for canoe. It is specific for numerous jumps from waterfalls, some of them being up to 10 meters high. The most interesting part for paddling is from the army exercise grounds at Slunj to Generalski stol.

3. Zrmanja
One of the most beautiful canyons of Europe, beautiful karstic forms and waterfalls, clear and drinkable waters. It is good for rafting until end June and later there is not enough water, nut therefore ideal for tours with canoes and kayaks.


4. Cetina
As the water level is regulated by a power plant, the river Cetina is navigable during the whole year through. The canyon of Cetina although also a karstic canyon, is different from the one of Zrmanja. It has not so many waterfalls, but interesting Mediterranean vegetation. The upper canyon above Gubavica is excellent for kayak, while the lower flow is ideal for rafting, The restaurant „Radmanove mlinice“, six kilometres upstream of Omiš is a real base of all the wild waters fans.

5. Una
The high water level is until June. It is excellent for rafting and kayak, very good for canoe. The most interesting part is from the twenty meter high waterfall Štrabački Buk to Loskun on the border with Bosnia and Herzegovina.
