Split – A new hostel in the town of Diocletian
‘Golly & Bossy’ is the new hotel in Split that has recently accepted its first guests. This design hostel with an unusual, amusing and ironic name (naked and barefoot) is situated in the neo-classicist building which used to be a shopping centre, in the centre of the city on Morpurgova poljana. The hostel is full of modern and interesting designer solutions and completely technically equipped. It has 28 rooms with 138 beds all together. On the first and second floor there are rooms with four and six beds, while on the third floor there are hotel type double rooms. Every room is equipped with a shower, a lavatory and free internet access. An attractive view stretches from the balcony onto the historical core of Split and at the front of the building there is a big terrace.

The rooms are numbered in an unusual way. Every number represents a year from history that was important for Split. For example, on the floor in front of room 1221 it is written that this was the year pirates had attacked Split, while room number 2010 signifies the year the hostel opened its doors.

Besides the new hostel in the centre of Split, a few smaller family hotels were opened and it is expected that the projects Marjan Hilton, hotel Central and Villa Matić will be completed next year. Renovation of the hotels Bellevue and Ambasador is being planned, as is the building of a new hotel not far from the famous beach Bačvice in Split.
