The prestigious international award, "QualityCoast", for the best seaside destination has recently been awarded in the Spanish Gijon to the island of Rab. Rab is the only destination from the Croatian coast and this part of Europe, that has received this award for excellence, which evaluates several important segments of the quality of the destination.

The award is given by the European organization "Coastal and Marine Union", created as a project by the EU's 11 member countries. The goal of the organization is to establish a coastal network of destinations that share the same values and qualities in the field of sustainable tourism development and their involvement in international marketing and promotional campaigns.
