Zlatna Greda is the name of the first eco- tourism agency in Croatia specializing in programs of responsible visits to protected and valuable natural areas. The main objective of the agency is the protection and promotion of natural and traditional values through education and visits, according to the principles of ecotourism. The agency, founded by the Society for the Protection of Nature and Environment ‘Zeleni Osijek’, offers a completely different journey through Slavonia and Baranja. Agency Programs combine the best natural and cultural destinations of Kopački Rit, the Danube, Drava, the Middle Danube, wine cellars of Baranja, deserts and farms, rural households, the city of Osijek and other interesting destinations.

The agency offers open-air classes in nature, team building, paddling canoes and wooden boats through Kopački Rit, boating on the Danube, Drava and backwaters, riding bicycles through Kopački Rit, photo safaris, bird watching and monitoring the abundant wildlife of this region.

The starting base for all eco-tourism programs is the Eco Centre Zlatna Greda, built in 2003 in a forest setting of Kopački Rit, one of Europe's largest wetlands. Up until today more than 285 species of birds as well as more than 400 species of invertebrates and 44 species of fish have been recorded in Kopački Rit. Many of them are globally threatened species, for example the white-tailed eagle, the black stork and the prairie falcon.

The Association for Nature Conservation Zeleni Osijek finances its activities from revenues of the agency.
