Rab – Croatian tourism champion of 2011
The town of Rab on the Kvarner Island of the same name is the winner of the Tourism flower – Croatian quality award, the most prestigious Croatian tourism award and was proclaimed tourism champion of 2011. Awards for the best presented coastal tourist towns, depending on the population number were won by Opatija, Krk, Nin and Mlini and the winners of continental Croatia were Velika Gorica, Đakovo, Našice and Grožnjan.

The graded and awarded hotels according to their star category were: Vestibul Palace from Split (the best small hotel on the coast), hotel Frankopan from Ogulin (the best small hotel inland), the Excelsior in Dubrovnik, the Regent Esplanade from Zagreb, Grand Hotel 4 Opatijska Cvijeta (Four Flowers of Opatija) and the Hotel Valamar Koralj Romantic on Krk, while the best marina this year again was Marina Frapa in Rogoznica.

The awarded camps were camp Palme in Kučište on Pelješac as the best small camp, camp Oaza Mira in Draga near Pakoštane in the middle-sized camp category, while the award for the best large camp went to camp Straško in Novalja on the island of Pag.
In the naturist camp category, the best camp award went to camp Valalta in Rovinj, and on the continent to camp Slapić in Duga Resa near Karlovac.

Special awards for continued quality went to camps Zaton near Zadar, Politin on the island of Krk and Jasenovo in Žaborić near Šibenik.
