The Italian company Marazzi group, which has recently reconstructed the hotel Lafodia on Lopud, interested in investing in the reconstruction of another facility on the same island, the Grand Hotel Lopud, in the ownership of the company Atlantska Plovidba. This is an out of function, abandoned facility that Atlantska Plovidba bought in 2005, with a plan to renew or reconstruct it into a boutique hotel of a high category club with 65 rooms. With the help of a strategic partner from Italy this is now very likely to happen.

Altlantska Plovidba is the majority owner of two high category hotels in Dubrovnik, the Hilton Imperial Dubrovnik and Hotel Lapad, while the Marazzi group owns Lafodija.
