"This future hit destination is cheaper than other countries in Western Europe, but is no less attractive in terms of beauty, reasonable prices and sustainability," claims the beginning of the text on Croatia on the famous American website Mother Nature Network. The text full of praise, notes that Croatia overtakes the most beautiful landscapes of the Balkans. Croatia is described as a country rich in marine and coastal scenery, but also with an appealing continental part, visited by an evergrowing number of tourists.
Mother Nature Network has not bypassed accommodation capacities either and says that tourists in Croatia can find lots of smaller and larger hotels as well as private apartments.
"Croatia is growing as a tourist destination, but the family apartments and rooms are still dominating as accommodation facilities. Many places are rich in history. For example, Hotel Park in Split has a long, one hundred year old story and manages to retain a classic Mediterranean atmosphere and a sense of style. This is a hotel that was on several occasions pronounced the best small hotel", says an American website.
Compliments were also bestowed upon Croatian cuisine, and in particular on the domestic production of fruits and vegetables, depending on the season, which can be purchased at local markets. It mentions the vegetarian scene which is especially visible in Zagreb.
The greatest attention was given to national parks. Although all received commendations, the most impressive was National Park Plitvice.
