HAK's mobile phone application is ideal for traveling through Croatia

01 September 2012

Croatia Traffic Info
Croatian Automobile Club (HAK) has launched a "smart" phone application intended for foreign tourists. The free application "Croatia Traffic Info" is available on Androids in English, German, Italian and Croatian. The application gives you quick access to useful information, such as road conditions, border crossings and ferry ports, traffic forecast, viewing live images from more than 150 cameras located on major roads in the country, urgent service contacts, an overview of current fuel prices, etc. In case foreign tourists need assistance on the road, they will be able to simply and quickly reach HAK. Their location will be transferred to the HAK contact center and thus quick and easy assistance will be provided without the need of describing the location of the breakdown.

The application also provides the module "where is my car?" adapted for parking in an unfamiliar environment. The navigation in the application guides the owner of the vehicle towards available parking space. It also provides an overview of 700 petrol stations of the largest oil companies in Croatia, with prices and types of fuel, sorted by distance from the user as a conventional map view, with the possibility of navigation guidance. It contains

15 000 points of interest grouped into twenty tourist and consumer categories. For the twenty public parking lots and garages, particularly in coastal cities and islands, there is a live review of the number of free parking space.
