One of the oldest and most popular camping fairs, Gitando, was organized for the second time after a year's break, in the period of 22-25 March 2012, as part of the Fiera di Vicenza event in the Italian region of Veneto. The Veneto area, otherwise the strongest in Italy's tourism, especially in the area of camping, achieves 15 million overnight stays per year. A special part of the exhibition space was occupied by the Italian Camping Association Confedercampeggio called "Ciao Campeggio Show."
In cooperation with the fair, Confedercampeggio also rewards particularly successful media appearances through printed materials. This award for "successful presentation" went to the magazine "Top Camping Croatia." While listing the reasons for this recognition, the Italian Association Confedercampeggio pointed out that they have been following editions of "Top Camping Croazia" which has been aimed at making a selection of the best Croatian camps for years. According to the chairman Gianni Picilli, the brochure transparently selects camps in 5 groups of quality: exclusive camps, superior quality, comfort quality, exclusive camping destination and runner up camps - campeggi aspiranti.
The award was presented to the President of the Executive Board of Topcamping Association Mr Jerko Sladoljev on 22 March 2012 in the presence of the Fiera di Vicenco fair members.
