Zagreb among the top destinations for young travelers

01 March 2012

Zagreb The popular American travel guide Off Track Planet, which has been popular among the young people with little money in their pockets for four consecutive years, recommends the top ten world destinations that are definitely worth a visit. This year it has also included Zagreb on its list.

From the steep Swiss Alps to cheap lobsters in Nicaragua, it features new recommendations this year or, as they say in the guide, "destinations where it is best to welcome the coming apocalypse."

The Croatian metropolis is described as a city where you can be entertained up to exhaustion, and considering the low prices, you will still be left with enough money to return home.

"In Zagreb you will encounter a variety of clubs and bars that serve good beer, where prices will not compromise your budget (2.50 to 3.50 dollars), and everything is open 24 hours," writes Off Track Planet. It adds that along with the night life, during daytime Zagreb delights with European architecture that can be compared with Prague.

"Once Zagreb wears you out, go to pass out at the improvised beach on the Jarun lake, until the nearby clubs pull you in to carry on partying," says the Off Track Planet article.

The first on the list is Chiapas in Mexico, followed by Zagreb and Turin in Italy, Central Anatolia in Turkey, Bucharest in Romania, Interlaken in Switzerland, Dakar in Senegal, the Big Corn Island in Nicaragua, Cricova in Moldova and Ushuaia in Argentina.

The Off Track Planet list was also quoted by the respected Huffington Post.
