The bay of Rijeka will, from 7 - 10 June, be the host of the 13th sailing regatta "Fimanke", a competition which each year brings together sailors from all over the world. In addition to the already traditional international regatta Great Fiumanka and Press Fiumanka, there will be other regattas like the Rotary Regatta which will have its third edition this year, Liburnija Regatta on the new route Mali Lošinj - Rijeka and Virtual Fiumanka. Great Fiumanka is sailed in three categories and three routes. The traditionally built regatta sails to the mark in front of Porto Baroš, family cruisers to a mark in front of Kostrena, racer cruisers continue to sail to the mark before Omišalj after passing the sign off Kostrena. After the markings they all return to the Port of Rijeka. Fiumanka is a must for all lovers of adrenaline sports. This is a free admission event where the result is not in the foreground. The old saying "it's important to participate" is particularly true at this event. The highlight of this unique sporting event is fun and socializing among true lovers of sailing, with excellent additional contents. Fiumanka is the race that changed the image of Rijeka and is registered in many sailing calendars, not only in Croatia but also much wider. Fiumanka is more than a race; it is a holiday where sailing is celebrated by all the lovers of sea and this beautiful sport.
