Dubrovnik has entered the top 10 world destinations chosen by The Huffington Post, and the main criterion for inclusion in the ranking was popularity on the social network Facebook. This selection was compiled by Yen Lee, the founder of the tourist page Uptake, which analyzed over 200 million comments on Facebook. According to his analysis, Dubrovnik is in second place. In front of it is Luang Prabang in Laos, and it is followed by Granada, Copacabana, Portland, etc.

"This Mediterranean jewel has been a popular destination for cruisers for years, but tourists have finally started to come in their own travel arrangements to experience the beautiful beaches, stunning landscapes and fascinating history," writes The Huffington Post. It adds that the trip would not be complete without wandering through the old town of Dubrovnik, whose city walls date back centuries and hold Renaissance churches, Gothic palaces, monumental fortresses and much more.
