Queen’s or “Ljelja’s” Annual Spring Procession
The tradition of “ljelja”, which in Gorjani is held on the Pentecost, dates back to the beginning of the last century. A group of village girls dressed up as kings and queens gather in front of the church at Mass after which they dance in a ring to the music of tambourine players.
