Vrnik
Island of Vrnik is situated in the archipelago of the Pelješac canal in front of
the east coast of Korčula island, widely known for its stone-pit of quality
lime-stone (marble) from which Aia Sofia (Istanbul) and the While House
(Washington) were partly built as were some palaces-town halls in Dubrovnik,
Stockholm, Venice, Vienna.
