Basic information

The Lošinj Culinary Festival showcases the gastronomic offerings of the Island of Lošinj, in the shape of authentic, local island cuisine, with a presentation about food from the sea under the title “Around The World under Lošinj’s Sails”, which along with aromatic dishes, is a component part of the menus of Lošinj catering establishments. About 20 catering establishments from the district of the Island of Lošinj take part in the event and for the duration of the event they offer two of their specialities under the theme “Around The World under Lošinj’s Sails”. Along with a number of accompanying events from seminars about aromatic cuisine, gastro walking tours, wine presentations, courses and so on... the greatest attraction is the final celebration in the town square of Mali Lošinj, where all the specialities are displayed accompanied by tastings, the competitive element of choosing the best food and the evening entertainment programme.
