Man vertritt die Ansicht, dass noch vor einigen Jahrhunderten die Paulaner, die weißen Mönche, die Spitze in die kroatischen Gefilde brachten. Die dörfliche Bevölkerung erkannte deren Schönheit und akzeptierte die Spitze als ihre Tradition, die sie bis heute pflegen.
