Begynd med den friske komælksots og den hjemmelavede creme fraiche, over den traditionelle komælksost fra Podravina, den såkaldte ”prga”, sammen med en skive af Samobor salamien og den pikante sauce "samoborska mustarda". Fortsæt så videre til hovedretten: kalkun med ”mlinci” (kogt og bagt dej). I Zagorje bør man smage "hajdinska kaša" (en slags grød), majskage "žlevka", "vrbovečka pera" (med ostepasta), og "varaždinski klipići" (ruller fra Varaždin). Den berømteste af alle kager her er Samobor "kremšnita" (en kremkage), der serveres med Samobor likør. Blandt vine kan man fremhæve graševina og Pinot Blanc.
